BRAIS 2016: Fee waivers for doctoral students
The British Association for Islamic Studies is pleased to announce that there will be ten free places available at our 2016 conference for doctoral students whose papers have been accepted as part of the 2016 conference programme.
If you are a doctoral student who submitted a paper for BRAIS 2016 and your paper has been selected by the conference committee, you are eligible to apply for a conference fee-waiver if you meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must be in their second year or higher of their PhD programme
- Applicants must be based at a UK or Republic of Ireland institution during the time of the conference
- Applicants should provide a formal statement of support from their supervisor
- Applicants’ papers must have been accepted for the 2016 BRAIS conference

Forms and supporting statements must be submitted by 5pm on Monday 29th February. Successful applicants will be informed by Monday 14th March.
Applications will be considered by the BRAIS Conference Committee and fee waivers will be awarded based on the excellence of the abstract, quality and originality of the research and the potential for subsequent research.
